De Atramentis inks are lovingly hand crafted in Germany by Dr. Franz-Josef Jansen. Dr Jansen has been producing inks since 1995 after the inheritance of a 17th century ancestor's Pharmacist's book containing information on the formulation of inks. The ink comes in an attractive 35ml glass bottle.
